You are more likely to get a better deal on a car at the end of a month, no matter which month it is. This is because your purchase at this time can help a sales manager of a dealership reach or go beyond their monthly quota.
However, you can really achieve a better deal at the end of any time period—even at the end of the day. Dealership employees are usually ready to go home by the end of the day and will likely not want to negotiate for long. You may find that visiting a dealership at the end of the day will yield better results than going early Monday morning.
But that’s not all! Another great time to purchase a car is at the end of a quarter. Dealerships also often have sales goals that reach beyond every month, typically in quarterly time framesbetween March, June, September, and December. If you visit a car dealership around these time periods, you are more likely to receive better deals.
If you don’t have time to stop by the car dealership during the end of the day or the end of the month, you can always visit during a holiday weekend. Dealerships often hold huge sales and provide special financing or cash-back deals during big holiday weekends such as Thanksgiving.

Many dealerships are usually eager to try to get rid of old-model vehicles from their stock to make room for the newer models. If that doesn’t happen, the dealership may try to offer large discounts on the older models to sell them faster.
